Can I stay in Bali for more than 60 days?
Checked October 2026 · 3 sources
Yes. A C1 tourist visa allows 60 days and can be extended twice by 60 days each, up to 180 days in total. Remote workers earning at least USD 60,000 a year from abroad can apply for the E33G remote worker visa, valid for one year. A visa on arrival stops at 60 days.
In detail
The C1 visa is applied for online before travel, at around IDR 1,000,000. Each 60-day extension is requested on evisa.imigrasi.go.id and costs roughly IDR 2,000,000, with an office visit for biometrics. Fees can change, so check the official site.
The E33G remote worker visa requires proof of USD 60,000 annual income from non-Indonesian sources and a bank balance of at least USD 2,000. It lasts one year, cannot be extended and must be renewed by a new application.
Holding an E33G can make you an Indonesian tax resident. Take tax advice, and never work for Indonesian clients or employers on a tourist or remote worker visa.
Good to know
- Start each extension at least two weeks before expiry.
- For complex cases, a licensed visa agent can act as sponsor.
