Where can I find a villa for a group in Bali?

Checked October 2026 · 3 sources

Short answer

For a group, Seminyak, Canggu and Ubud have the widest choice of multi-bedroom villas, with more space for the money in Uluwatu and the countryside. Check the real number of beds and bathrooms, make sure the villa is licensed, and book group transport: a 12 to 14-seat minibus with driver is the simplest option.

In detail

Large villas are often several pavilions around a pool, so stairs, walking distances and privacy vary a lot. For more than 12 to 15 people, two neighbouring villas are often easier to find than one very large one, and give everyone more breathing room.

Bali is cracking down on unlicensed rentals. Many online listings still have no business registration number (NIB), so ask for it before paying. Ask the villa for its NIB or licence and pay through a traceable channel.

Lodging providers must register foreign guests with immigration through the APOA system, so expect to send passport details before arrival. Staff usually include housekeeping and often a cook; check whether breakfast, extra beds and airport pickups are included.

Traffic is the main constraint for groups. An 18-seat Isuzu Elf handles larger groups with luggage, and grouping arrivals on one or two flights saves several transfers.
