Where can I find a villa for a coaching stay in Bali?

For a coaching stay, look at quiet villas on the outskirts of Ubud, in the Tabanan and Mengwi countryside or in Sidemen in East Bali, rather than busy Canggu. The villa needs a private, shaded space for sessions, reliable wifi and few close neighbours. Foreign coaches paid to run sessions in Bali should check their visa first.

Villages around Ubud, such as Sayan or Payangan, combine rice-field views with easy access to cafés, spas and healers. Tabanan and Mengwi, west of Ubud, are rural, closer to the south and quieter. Sidemen, in East Bali, is the most remote option, with views of Mount Agung and a longer drive from the airport.

For coaching, a small villa often works better than a large one: two to four bedrooms, a living pavilion or bale that can be kept private during sessions, and a garden for walking sessions. Ask about nearby construction, roosters, dogs and temple ceremonies, which can bring noise even in the countryside.

If you also coach clients online, ask for a recent speed test and whether the villa has a backup generator. The island-wide blackout of 2 May 2025 showed that power can fail for several hours.
