Where can I find a villa for a bachelor party in Bali?

Checked October 2026 · 4 sources

Short answer

For a bachelor party, most groups stay in Canggu or Seminyak, close to beach clubs and nightlife, or in Uluwatu for surf and cliff-top bars. Choose a villa whose house rules accept groups and late evenings, and keep the party legal: Indonesian drug penalties include the death penalty, and Bali has strict rules on tourist behaviour.

In detail

Canggu and Seminyak put bars and beach clubs a short drive away, so the loud part of the night can happen outside the villa. Uluwatu suits a surf-focused group, with breaks at Uluwatu, Padang Padang and Bingin, but places are spread out and you need drivers.

Daytime options that work for groups include surf lessons at Kuta or Canggu, rafting on the Ayung River near Ubud, quad-bike tours in the hills around Ubud and fishing or snorkelling boat trips. Book them as a private group so the timing fits you.

Read the house rules before booking: many villas cap guest numbers, ban outside visitors after a set hour and stop amplified music around 11 pm. A security deposit is common, and complaints from the banjar, the village community, can end the evening early.

The Governor's Circular No. 7 of 2025 sets rules for foreign tourists, including no disturbances and staying in approved accommodation, and breaches can lead to deportation. Drugs, including cannabis and CBD products, are illegal and severely punished, and police target popular venues.

Good to know

  • Drink only branded, sealed alcohol: methanol poisoning cases have been reported in Bali.
  • Do not ride scooters without a valid licence and helmet; book a minibus with driver for the group.
