What are the emergency numbers in Bali?

Checked October 2026 · 2 sources

Short answer

In Bali, call 112 (general emergencies) or 110 for police, 118 for an ambulance, and 113 for fire. Some sources also list 119 for medical emergencies. The Bali Tourist Police can be reached on +62 361 759 687. Operators may not speak much English, so a private hospital's own emergency line can be quicker.

In detail

Australia's Smartraveller lists police on 110 or 112, ambulance and rescue on 118, medical emergencies on 119 and fire on 113. The UK government advises calling 118 for an ambulance. Because sources list numbers differently, try 112 if another number does not connect.

In tourist areas, many travellers call the 24-hour line of a large private hospital directly, because it can send an ambulance faster. Note the nearest hospital's number when you arrive.

Contact your travel insurer as soon as you are referred to a hospital. For lost passports, arrests or serious incidents, contact your country's embassy or consulate. Several countries have a consulate in Denpasar.

Good to know

  • Save 112, 118 and the nearest private hospital's number in your phone.
  • Share your villa's address or a map pin when you call.
  • Keep your insurer's 24-hour number with your passport copy.
