Where can I find all the events happening in Bali?
Checked October 2026 · 2 sources
The Bali Reply events page lists what is on in Bali and is updated automatically: festivals, concerts, markets, ceremonies and sports events. For the big annual dates, the Bali Tourism Office publishes an official calendar, including the Bali Arts Festival (June to July) and the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival (October).
In detail
Our events page gathers upcoming events in one place, by date and area, so you can plan your days around a concert, a festival or a ceremony without checking dozens of sites.
The official calendar, published on Love Bali, the provincial tourism portal, includes the ogoh-ogoh parades the night before Nyepi in March, the Bali Spirit Festival, the Ubud Food Festival in late May, the Bali Arts Festival in Denpasar from mid-June to mid-July, kite festivals in July and August, and the Sanur Village Festival.
Many events follow the Balinese calendar, so dates move every year. Temple festivals (odalan) and Galungan and Kuningan come round every 210 days, and Nyepi, the Day of Silence, closes the whole island for 24 hours.
For ceremonies in a specific village, the best source is local: your villa staff, driver or the banjar can tell you what is planned and whether visitors are welcome.
Good to know
- Check our events page a few days before your trip and again on arrival.
- Book transport early for big festivals; traffic around Ubud and Denpasar gets heavy.
- Dress for temple rules if an event takes place in a temple.
