Gitgit Waterfall

A 35 m drop right off the Bedugul–Singaraja road, one of the easiest big falls in the north. Smaller falls on the same stream can be added.

Itinerary

  1. Getting there

    By car or scooter: Ubud approx. 110 min · Canggu approx. 135 min · Seminyak approx. 135 min. Head for Gitgit, Sukasada.

  2. Ticket & parking

    IDR 20,000 per adult. About 20,000 at the official booth. Ignore 'guides' in the car park.

  3. The walk · Easy

    Paved, mostly downhill path of 500–800 m past souvenir stalls, 10–20 min. Uphill on the way back.

  4. At the falls

    The plunge pool is turbulent; keep back from the base.

  5. Then

    Continue with Jembong Waterfall, Aling-Aling Waterfall, Twin Lakes viewpoint.

Best time

Weekday mornings, strongest in the wet season (Nov–Mar).

Good to know

  • Park at the official car park and walk to the booth yourself.
  • Combine with Jembong or Aling-Aling on the same day.
  • The rocks near the pool are slippery.
