Itinerary

  1. Getting there

    By car or scooter: Ubud approx. 130 min · Canggu approx. 150 min · Seminyak approx. 150 min. Head for Sambangan, Sukasada.

  2. Ticket & parking

    IDR 20,000 per adult. 20,000 for viewing only. Swimming, sliding and jumping need a guide package: short 125,000, medium 250,000, long 500,000.

  3. The walk · Moderate

    About 400 paved steps along the Sambangan trail (Kroya, Kembar, Pucuk, Aling-Aling), with a knee-deep river crossing. 1–2 hours for all four.

  4. At the falls

    No swimming at Aling-Aling itself, the pool is sacred. With a guide you can swim, slide and jump at Kroya, Kembar and Pucuk.

  5. Then

    Continue with Kroya Waterfall, Gitgit Waterfall, Lovina Beach.

Best time

Dry season (Apr–Oct), arrive at 08:00.

Good to know

  • Take a guided package to jump or slide; life jackets provided.
  • Wear swimwear underneath and bring water shoes.
  • Skip Pucuk if short on time, it is the hardest section.
