Visa agents in Bali

A visa agent in Bali handles applications and extensions with Indonesian Immigration for you: visa on arrival extensions, 60-day visit visas, KITAS stay permits and more. Travellers staying longer than 30 days, remote workers, retirees and anyone moving to Bali usually need one, or must be ready to deal with the immigration office themselves.

What to know in Bali

  • The visa on arrival (e-VoA, code B1) costs IDR 500,000, gives 30 days and can be extended once for another 30 days. Buy it in advance on the official site evisa.imigrasi.go.id to skip the airport queue.
  • The C1 (formerly B211A) single-entry visit visa gives 60 days and can be extended twice by 60 days, up to 180 days in total. It needs a sponsor, which is usually the agent.
  • Overstaying costs IDR 1,000,000 per day, paid before you leave. Overstays of 60 days or more can lead to detention, deportation and a re-entry ban.
  • The E33G remote worker KITAS (1 year) requires at least USD 60,000 a year in income from outside Indonesia. You may not work for Indonesian clients.
  • The second home visa (up to 5 years) requires a deposit of at least USD 130,000 in an Indonesian state bank, or an apartment worth USD 1 million or more.
  • Every foreign visitor to Bali also pays a tourist levy of IDR 150,000 per visit, in place since February 2024.

Indicative prices

  • e-VoA (30 days): IDR 500,000 official fee
  • e-VoA extension via an agent: about IDR 850,000 to 1,500,000 (official fee IDR 500,000 if you do it yourself)
  • C1 visit visa via an agent: about IDR 2,500,000 to 4,000,000
  • Each C1 extension via an agent: about IDR 1,350,000 to 2,000,000 including the government fee
  • Prices are indicative (2026 sources) and change often; always ask for a written quote

How to choose

  • Apply for visas and extensions only through evisa.imigrasi.go.id or a registered agent; many copycat sites charge extra for the same e-VoA.
  • Start an extension at least 7 to 10 days before your visa expires: the process can need an in-person visit for photos and fingerprints.
  • Ask the agent which company sponsors your visa and keep copies of all receipts and the e-visa PDF.
  • Be wary of agents promising a work permit on a visit visa: working on a C1 or e-VoA is illegal and can lead to deportation.
