How do I get from Bali airport to Canggu, Seminyak or Ubud?
Checked October 2026 · 2 sources
Your main options are a pre-booked private transfer, the official fixed-price taxi counter, or Grab or Gojek from their airport pickup points. Recent guides give rough fares of IDR 200,000 to 300,000 to Seminyak, 350,000 to 500,000 to Canggu and 450,000 to 650,000 to Ubud. Traffic makes journey times vary a lot.
In detail
Sources disagree on journey times because traffic changes so much. Estimates run from about 15 to 90 minutes for Seminyak, 35 minutes to 2.5 hours for Canggu, and 1 to 3 hours for Ubud. Between 3pm and 7pm, allow at least 45 extra minutes.
Private transfers have a fixed price, include tolls, and the driver usually meets you with a name sign. That makes them the easiest choice after a long flight or late at night. The official Koptax counter in both terminals charges posted fares by zone, and you pay before you ride.
Grab and Gojek operate at the airport from signed pickup points in the arrivals area. Fares can surge at busy times, a standard car may not fit large luggage, and you may be asked to pay the toll of about IDR 14,000 if you take the toll road.
Good to know
- Book a private transfer ahead for arrivals after 10pm.
- Compare Grab and Gojek prices before you book.
- Only use drivers you booked or the official counter, not touts.
