Chance for Change (Bali COVID-19) Association who Raise fund for those who need the most.

Bali needs a chance

The world is facing an unprecedented challenge with communities and economies everywhere affected by the growing COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic marks an earlier time in modern history that will require the best of humanity to overcome.
This virus causes a crisis that threatens everyone’s way of life, but it is especially difficult for people who are already vulnerable positions, including those with pre-existing medical conditions, older adults, individuals experiencing homelessness, refugees and migrants, wage workers, and those with inflexible jobs. This is can be seen especially in third world countries where help is limited, like Indonesia.
Indonesia, like many other countries, declared a state of emergency due to the global coronavirus pandemic. It announced it would ban all foreign nationals, except for diplomats, permanent residents, and humanitarian workers from entering the country. In developed countries like Britain, Germany, Australia, etc. with a small size of the informal economy, it is fairly easy to cope with employment issues during this pandemic where the government agreed to pay between 50 to 80 percent of wages of those not working due to the coronavirus crisis if their employer is unable to afford to pay them. Meanwhile, the Indonesian government is still emphasizing
“social/physical distancing”, as it attempts to focus on both keeping the economy afloat and protecting the lives of its citizens.
Bali, one of Indonesia’s region who is most economically impacted by COVID-19 have been relying on the tourism industry for generations, but with people staying home due to the coronavirus travel restrictions, its residents are struggling.

It forces businesses in the hospitality sector to close temporarily which then impacting the whole economy flow on the island which leads to unemployment of most of its residents.

No tourists mean no work and no work mean no money which leads to hunger, poverty, and despair. Their livelihoods have been taken away. Many are concern about how to survive for the upcoming weeks and months especially those lives under poverty lines who are suffering daily to just feed the family.
We have to give them a chance!
We already support families and people who are suffering from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. But the help from only one family is by far not enough to cover the demands that we are now facing daily.

So, would you like to be part of this chance to change?!
Your donation to this fund will support immediate and long-term relief and recovery in vulnerable communities during one of the most challenging times we have collectively faced.
How to change!
Short term donation :
Taking over a temporary partnership for a distressed Indonesian family and help this family in need with 50€ per month.
The amount is sufficient for the monthly need for food for a family of 4.
The donation is guaranteed to be 100% donated to the distressed family. You can get in direct contact with the family and accompany them in these difficult times.
Longterm donation :
Development aid does not mean to be dependent on somebody. It means, first of all, support to help them to develop themselves.

The long term donation would be for supporters who want to help on a sustainable and lasting basis.
We guarantee for your support :

  • 100 % forwarding of your donation to the distressed family
  • All organizational, administrative and personal costs are covered by us.
  • We will do the selection and examination of distressed families and persons.
  • The documentation of the sponsorship is done by us. Documentation is done through Instagram @chanceforchange_bali and personal email if requested.
  • Reporting about all families and the current benefits they have from the donations.
  • We provide complete and transparent tracking of all cash flows for all donors.

Thanks for giving Bali
