KITESURFING LEVEL 1 - KITE CONTROL

First thing you have to learn the essentials techniques for kitesurf, how to fly and control your kite. this entry level course will introduce you all about setting up your kitesurf equipment and safety procedures, as well as invaluable wind window pattern knowledge. Before you are ready for your beach launch, you will strap into the seat harness and start with a 2 lines trainer kite before moving on to a 4 line kite. 

Course Fee Per Person - IDR 1,650,000 for 2 hrs

KITESURFING LEVEL 2 - WATER CONTROL

Onto the next level. Once you are comfortable with your kite control, it’s time get you in the water!. This course is all about getting comfortable in the water with your kite, so before taking a board out we’ll run you through somebody dragging skills, also you introduce about water starts, correct board positioning and riding with one hand on the harness. You’ll experience moving in the water without a board, turning left and right and also carry out some board recovery drills. By the end of this course you will be ready strap a board on your feet and start riding.

KITESURFING LEVEL 3 - FREERIDING

Once you build up your kite control and water control skills, you are ready for freeriding because those are the main skills for this stage. On this level you will learn about speed, edging the board, riding downwind, riding upwind and turning correctly, which are the kitesurfing techniques for freeriding across the ocean. As you progress our coaches are on hand to work on more advanced techniques with you, like freestyle tricks and aerials. Experienced kitesurfers are welcome to join this course to improve their skills too.

BOARD RIDING SKILLS - WAKE KITE

This course will concentrate on learning all the necessary Board Riding skills utilizing our wakeboard boat, Kite board, Kite -harness and Kite bar’n’line system. Learn upwind board recovery,  water starts - coming up out of the water both directions using the harness, correct body positioning & edging the board for upwind riding plus turning.

What’s included in Surf activities ?

All Rip Curl School of Surf activities are include :

• Transport: air-conditioned, free WIFI & GPS tracking transfers with bookings made with a minimum 2 hours prior notice. From all major hotels in the Legian, Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta, Jimbaran, Uluwatu, Nusa Dua, and Sanur area.
• Modern equipment: surfboards, kite surfing, stand up paddle boarding, diving, wakeboarding.
• All necessary safety equipment: surf helmets, reef booties, impact vests and personal floatation devices.
• Guest to Instructor/Assistant Ratio: Surfing, SUP & Kite lv.1 (5:1), Surfing & SUP Lv. 2-3, Diving and wakeboarding (3:1) and Kite Lv. 2-3, Private Surf (2:1)
• Study books: guests will be given the usage of study books to learn from and aid in instruction during the program.
• Surf wear: Rip Curl School of Surf rash guard shirts and leggings, Rip Curl surf shorts and wetsuits.
• Guest services: towels, drinking water, fresh fruit, zinc and first aid kit are available upon request or if necessary.
• Facilities: changing rooms, student lockers, showering, Rip Curl merchandising, garden bars and parking.
• Photographic memories: Rip Curl School of Surf photographers will take photos during guest programs, which will be for sale to the guest on completion of the program. Images are stored on a custom Rip Curl surfboard USB at IDR 350.000,-/person. Photographer for Sanur area will be on request
• Instructor’s accreditation: International Kite Organisation: Lv. 1-2, International Surfing Association Lv. 1-2 or Academy of Surfing- Surfing Lv. 1-2. International Surfing Association, Flat Water SUP Lv. 1, or Academy of Surfing - Stand Up Paddle Level 1-3, PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. All staffs are first Aid trained; all senior operational staffs are Bronze Medallion Surf Lifesaving certified and Emergency First Response trained
• Language of program instruction: All lessons will be taught in English and or Indonesian language.
