Cruise Details

The following itinerary has been designed to access the most engaging locations Raja Ampat has to offer, with intent to dive three times per day. Please note that any trip plan is subject to change based on the currents, waves and weather in the region. Strong currents, for example, may mean that the exact location and/or timing of the planned dives may have to be altered on safety grounds and to suit the local conditions... It is always possible to discuss and agree an alternative itinerary following consultation with the Captain, Cruise Team and fellow Guests.

Day 1 – We will be waiting for you at the harbor in Waisai, our crew will shuttle you to Akomo Isseki and welcome you aboard. Following lunch and a short tour and explanation about the vessel, your safety on board and intended plans for the voyage. Weather dependent and departure time dependent (on occasions, especially around new year/xmas, it can take some time to leave harbor once the guests have boarded) we generally head straight for Misool, over night, in order to cover the miles. Day 1 is usually a non-diving day, however if we are doing well for time we may be able to squeeze in a check dive before the crossing to Misool.

Day 2 until day 4 / day 5 – We spend in Misool.

Day 4 / Day 5 until day 9 - We cross back up north (overnight) to central Raja, taking on Yangeffo, Kri, Dampier Strait.

Day 9 - While we sail back to Waisai enjoy breakfast, and the last exchange of photos and memories, the crew and Akomo Isseki will say their fond farewells before organizing your stay in Raja Ampat or return to Sorong.

The activities: diving, snorkeling, trying diving - we specialize in mixing things up and like to focus on a range of different activities, non-hardcore diving trips tend to be the most enjoyable ones for all as it means we have more time to visit nice places on land and explore.

Activities outside of diving are also not to be missed... Misool is full of little hidden gems. Lagoon excursions, view point walks, and shark nursery swims will take place within the 4-5 days spent down in Misool.

Back in central/north, we will also attempt to visit beaches for a BBQ, and maybe stroll around Yenbuba or Aer Borek.

On some occasions, snorkelers may have to 'sit out' a spot or 2, if we are diving on a deep sea mount of drop off, for example. However the vast majority of sites around Raja Ampat are ideal for snorkeling as the best coral coverage ranges from 1-10m.
