Teman was launched in June 2017 in South Sulawesi, in the region of Bonto Bahari, Indonesia’s renowned hub for traditional wooden boat building. This boat has been specifically designed to sail the seas of the Indonesian archipelago. With 5 spacious and comfortable cabins, Teman can host up to 12 guests on board.

She was built using a rich variety of wood species, mainly “iron woods” (Ulin, Nona-lara, Merbau) and teak. Particular care has been taken in selecting, drying and positioning the different types of timbers to capture their natural strength and to highlight the beautiful textures and tones of the different woods during the boat's construction process.

Specializing in diving and adventure cruises, Teman and her crew look forward to welcoming and sharing with you the gems they have discovered during their 20 years of experience sailing across Indonesia.

Living and lounge area

This ship has been designed to offer as much space as possible, for our guests to relax and enjoy the incredible landscapes during their journey. Whether it be on one of our sun decks, or protected by the sun in the open space-chill out area, everyone can find the perfect spot to rest and relish.

The dining room is about 35m2 with a magnificent Tek wood table, suitable for up to 14 people. The kitchen is open to the living room.

The cabins

Teman can host up to 12 people in five cabins. Four of them are located in the front of the boat, and one on the stern.

SERAM and CELEBES have a double bed and a single bed.

BANDA and MALUKU have a double bed and a bunk bed.

FLORES, on the back of the boat, have a double bed and a bunk bed with a direct access to the stern skirt.

All the cabins have an en-suite bathroom with hot water, remote controlled air conditioning, integrated storage units, charging stations (220v), reading lamps, two portholes and a hatch.

Safety equipment

Inflatable life rafts (2x15 pers.), life jackets (30 pers.), buoys, fire extinguishers x6, first aid equipment, and oxygen on board.

The cruise director and the crew members are trained to provide O2 and first aid. Hyperbaric chambers in Bali, Makassar, Manado and Jakarta.

The foredeck

The foredeck, always protected from the sun, has been converted as a diving area.

It is our main priority to give our guests the best quality of air.

Our two compressors are located in a protected space, and our 20 aluminum cylinders with DIN valves are distributed in the whole deck. Every passengers will enjoy its own storage unit. Two spaces are dedicated to the cleaning and are to be shared by our guests. The photographers have two tables at their disposal on the deck and another space inside the boat with numerous sockets (220V).

Teman Liveaboard is fully equipped with Scubapro gears: T-One bcds and MK2 regulators. We also rent full wetsuits (3mm), open heel fins, booties and a large choice of masks.

In case of a “Land & Sea” charter, the foredeck can be rearranged into a relaxing space perfect to enjoy the landscapes.
