To complete our Mathis Collection trilogy, after Umalas and Ubud, this region of Amed has imposed itself naturally to offer our guests a timeless journey to the sources of this magical island.

Mathis Lodge, which was created in June 2019 is a pretty crazy project that we invite you to share. Nobody has yet dared to build in this area off the coast, the challenge is so difficult and uncertain - we have overcome it to offer you a timeless stay, which you will not soon forget. At the bottom of the valley facing the beach, our reception awaits you to organize the climb to the lodge with our pick-ups specially dedicated for this 3 km journey which lasts approximately 15 minutes, an average of 7.5% drop, you will be carried away in another world, an authentic and secular Bali, the landscapes will take your breath away as you climb, the road is a bit bumpy, our pick up will go up at a senator's rate, but the reward is soon there - you will not be disappointed ! finally the lodge is in front of you, it is on a magnificent plot of 2 hectares at 400 m altitude on the heights of Amed, in the Léan valley where time seems to have stood still. It sits on the foothills of this valley surrounded by green hills, close to the Seraya volcano which dominates the region and which shelters the famous temple Pura Lempuyang from the top of its 1600 steps. In the background, the village of Amed and the turquoise waters of the Lombok Strait. Electric vehicles with driver allow you to circulate in the 20,000m2 and the 70m of uneven between the top and the bottom of the property. If you want to spend time by the sea, our pick-up shuttle will drop you off there free of charge and on demand during the day. On the beach we have a partnership with a local bar which will offer you deckchairs, towels and snorkeling equipment if you wish (extra).

ASMAT, our restaurant with a breathtaking view and a panoramic bar overlooking the property will welcome you to start your evening under the best possible auspices. Mathis Lodge is one of the leading Boutique Hotels on the island due to its exceptional environment.

From the lodge, many activities are possible, from a short walk in the surrounding mountains to excursions with a driver and an experienced guide.
